Stopford Energy and Environment is committed to the development and deployment of innovative technologies which generate power and fuel from sustainable low-carbon resources. Our team of specialists has accumulated a wealth of project experience and can offer extensive consultancy services to the energy sector which address:
- Project feasability and project management
- Financial modelling
- Fuel analysis and characterisation
- Low carbon technology development and assessment
Our broad understanding of the low-carbon energy sector has enabled us to manage a suite of sustainable energy projects. These have ranged from smallscale renewable energy installations, through to the scoping of district heating systems and on to the development of large scale CHP plants (1-50 MW). In addition, our extensive academic links have given us the experience and knowledge to develop new low-carbon technologies, with a special emphasis on deriving energy from waste. We have an in-depth knowledge of Government financial incentives aimed at the proliferation of low-carbon technologies, plus the penalties aimed at increasing energy efficiency and curbing emissions of CO . Consequently, we can provide 2 assistance and advice on all aspects of the Renewables Obligation (RO), Feed in Tariffs (FITs), Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), Climate Change Levy (CCL), Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) and European Emissions Trading System (ETS).

Stopford Energy and Environment has developed a Masters level professional training programme entitled 'Energy and Fuels from Waste'. The course will be available from spring 2012. For more information click here.
